Introduction to Collagraph Printmaking

This one day workshop is suitable for both beginners and those with  some previous experience in printmaking. We will look at various methods of creating a textural printing ‘plate’ in the morning and in the afternoon explore different inking and printing methods both with and without an etching press.

Course numbers are limited to a maximum of 4, this ensures a high level of individual attention and access to the press. Printing is very messy and the printing ink will stain so please wear old clothes and/or aprons! Protective gloves will be available.

The cost for the day is £50 per person to include materials.

Workshops start at 10 and finish by 5

Please bring your own lunch (or there are shops and a cafe near by). Tea and coffee will be provided.

Please be aware that this is my home studio and a (very friendly) dog will be around and a cat also lives here.

Use contact section for enquires or call Polly or Tim on 07747 804449

Testimonials

"  I have just completed a day long workshop on making Collagraph prints with Polly Gough.

Polly was a delightful, knowledgeable and patient tutor.

This art form is new to me ( I am a painter) and I was very keen to have the opportunity to learn. The procedure at first seemed highly complicated but Polly took us through step by step...demonstrating  with professional skill. Questions were answered in a simple, direct way. The atmosphere was jolly and supportive.

What did we do?  We made two different plates and then using three different printing methods we produced 6 prints... all of which  we were proud of.  Quite a day!
Thank you Polly I look forward to  more workshops with you!."
