This one day workshop is suitable for both beginners and those with some previous experience in printmaking. You will look at various methods of creating a textural printing ‘plate’ in the morning and in the afternoon explore different inking and printing methods both with and without an etching press.
Course numbers are limited to a maximum of 4, this ensures a high level of individual attention and access to the press. Printing is very messy and the printing ink will stain so please wear old clothes and/or aprons! Protective gloves will be available.
The cost for the day is £60 per person to include materials.
Workshops start at 10 and finish by 5
Please bring your own lunch (or there are shops and a cafe near by). Tea and coffee will be provided.
Please be aware that this is my home studio and a (very friendly) dog will be around and a cat also lives here.
Use contact section for enquires or call Polly or Tim on 07747 804449
A place on a workshop will be reserved with a £20 deposit.
Payment must be payed in full one week prior to workshop date.

"I have just completed a day long workshop on making Collagraph prints with Polly Gough.
Polly was a delightful, knowledgeable and patient tutor.
This art form is new to me ( I am a painter) and I was very keen to have the opportunity to learn. The procedure at first seemed highly complicated but Polly took us through step by step...demonstrating with professional skill. Questions were answered in a simple, direct way. The atmosphere was jolly and supportive.
What did we do? We made two different plates and then using three different printing methods we produced 6 prints... all of which we were proud of. Quite a day! Thank you Polly I look forward to more workshops with you!."
"I have been very lucky to attend one of Polly and Tims wonderful printing workshop, I have to say it was very relaxed, educational and informative, I really enjoyed myself, I learnt a lot and came away with lots of prints (which I will frame, when I get the time).Polly explained and demonstrated the techniques extremely well, along with Tim who maned the press,
I thoroughly recommend thier printing workshop, great for all ages and abilities, I would like at later date to book another one.
Thank you Polly and Tim, a very satisfied"
"After a day of hands-on printmaking, learning the basics of the art under Polly’s expert tuition, I proudly went home clutching some beautiful prints and my two printing plates!
We were a class of three, which essentially meant personal guidance, and the day was very well planned, so that we were able to experience the whole printmaking process. This included creating our own designs, introducing texture and extra effects into our work, inking and the final excitement of producing our own prints! Polly provided all the materials and equipment, allowing us to try relief, intaglio and viscosity printmaking in a range of colours.
It was a great way to spend a day, in good company with good coffee!" Sue
